In this book, we were shown the very first color map of Oz, according to the Wicked-verse. As you can see, there is quite some detail in this map and the colors of Baum's world have nothing to do with this map. What do you think about this great new colorful map from Wicked's Oz? One of the more fascinating Oz characters within the Out of Oz book is the main protaganist, Oziandra "Rain" Thropp. She is the supposed granddaughter of Elphaba Thropp and the questioned daughter of Liir Thropp and Candle Osqa'ami. In Out of Oz, Rain has started her story in the Munchkinland area under the jurisdiction of Glinda and General Cherrystone living within the walls of Mockbegger Hall. To learn more about Rain, check out her page here. Before we leave, if you want to share any fan art of Oziandra "Rain" Thropp, feel free to post it in the comments below.
Welcome back to our "annual" Wicked celebration! In our second year, as we go into "Wicked" season, I will be celebrating the fourth book in the Wicked saga, "Out of Oz". If you missed our 25th anniversary celebration of the first Wicked book, check it out here. Also, I did a post last year for the 15th anniversary of "Son of a Witch" as well. Now, in this fourth book, we follow Elphaba's "supposed" grand-daughter Oziandra, "Rain" for short. It is by far the longest of the Wicked books and definitely tells even more of the story, concerning Elphaba. The book premiered on November 1, 2011 and has opened up so much of the storyline concerning Dorothy, The Tin Man, Scarecrow, The Cowardly Lion, The Wicked Witch of the West, and Glinda. So, let's get this celebration started with an preview of the book. For the next ten weeks, I will be posting something related to the book, whether it be videos, artwork, puzzles, etc. We are celebrating this book and its connection to the Wicked-verse. If you want to see something interactive and related to the book, please let me know in the comments below as well.
Let me know below, have you read this book? If so, what was your favorite part of the book? Until next time, we'll be seeing you somewhere in the Wicked-verse. |
